Power Energy Group Highlights Three Decades of Commodity-Market and Physical-Logistics Experience
William Jegen’s experience spans exchange-traded commodity markets, Bakken crude operations, tanker and rail logistics, and the development of integrated physical energy supply programs.
HOUSTON — Power Energy Group, led by President William Jegen, is applying three decades of commodity-market and physical-logistics experience to the development of crude oil and refined-product supply programs across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and select Latin American markets.
Jegen’s commodity-market experience began in 1996 and developed through exchange-traded markets, commercial risk management, and the practical requirements of moving physical energy products. That combination of market judgment and operating discipline remains central to Power Energy Group’s approach.
From 2009 through 2016, leadership experience included Bakken crude origination and aggregation, trucking, rail movements, terminal coordination, and downstream placement. The work required managing price exposure alongside production schedules, transportation capacity, product quality, custody transfer, and settlement.
Beginning in 2016, Power Energy Logistics expanded physical execution capabilities through company-owned and operated tanker trucks and trailers, high-volume transportation programs, and complex field coordination. Since 2018, Power Energy Group has brought physical trading, logistics planning, market risk, documentation, and transaction control together within an integrated commercial platform.
“Physical energy transactions succeed when market opportunity is matched with a verified route, disciplined controls, and accountability through final delivery and settlement. Our experience has been built at that intersection of price and execution.”

Today, the Houston-based platform evaluates crude oil and refined-product opportunities across benchmark pricing, basis, quality, geography, timing, freight, terminal access, storage, credit, and end-market demand. Each proposed movement is reviewed as a complete operating and commercial system rather than as a stand-alone purchase or sale.
Power Energy is also developing compliant supply structures for underserved markets, including a proposed initiative intended to serve eligible independent businesses in Cuba. Those plans remain subject to counterparty qualification, financing, operational verification, applicable export and sanctions requirements, internal approval, and definitive agreements.
The company’s continuing objective is straightforward: connect qualified supply with legitimate demand through commercially sound structures and controlled physical execution.
