Power Energy Develops Fuel Supply Solutions to Support Underserved Markets and Independent Cuban Businesses

Houston company brings commodity market experience and hands-on logistics planning to the challenge of powering businesses and supporting family livelihoods.

HOUSTON — Power Energy Trading, LLC, led by President William Jegen, is developing fuel supply solutions for underserved markets where transportation barriers, limited infrastructure, and complex commercial requirements make dependable energy access difficult.

The company’s work includes a developing Cuba initiative intended to support eligible independent businesses and private-sector economic activity through lawful U.S. fuel exports. Power Energy is structuring the initiative with reference to the Support for the Cuban People (SCP) license exception, subject to verification that each transaction meets its requirements and all other applicable U.S. rules.

For Cuban entrepreneurs and families facing economic hardship, access to fuel can have immediate, practical significance. It can help a private food distributor move deliveries, a neighborhood business operate a generator, or an independent producer keep essential equipment running. These activities support the ability to earn a living, preserve food, and put meals on the family table.

“Behind every fuel shipment is someone trying to keep a business open, protect a livelihood, and provide for a family. Our goal is to apply our trading and logistics experience to help eligible independent businesses obtain the energy they need to work, grow, and support their communities.”

William Jegen, President of Power Energy Trading, LLC

Power Energy’s approach combines commercial arbitrage—the identification of price differences between supply and destination markets—with detailed analysis of the costs and constraints that determine whether a shipment is workable. Freight, terminal access, storage, financing, documentation, and delivery schedules all influence the final cost and reliability of supply.

The company is developing both bulk marine and ISO tank container arrangements, allowing it to evaluate delivery options against buyers’ receiving infrastructure and commercial needs. Planning encompasses Gulf Coast sourcing, terminal handling, vessel coordination, payment security, and destination delivery requirements.

For the Cuba initiative, the intended beneficiaries are eligible private-sector customers whose businesses sustain independent economic activity. Counterparty screening, end-use verification, and applicable export and sanctions requirements are integral to the proposed supply structure.

Power Energy’s broader objective is to turn complex supply challenges into practical commercial solutions. By connecting available fuel with markets that face obstacles to access, the company aims to support business continuity, local enterprise, and the livelihoods that depend on them.
